If you don’t need a printer full time, or you only need one here and there then you have probably rented. It makes sense that if you don’t need to print full time that you don’t need to pay for a copier full time. These days the economy is tight though and it’s important to make sure you’re getting the most for your money. Despite the way it seems we have worked with people that always rented and found that leasing can actually save them money with the added benefit of having a copier around whenever they need it.

Consider the following:

1. How much do you print per month?
2. How fast does the printer need to be (pages per minute)?
3. Do you require advanced functions when you print. (Stapling, hole punching, tabloid etc.

If you have high enough print volume and you don’t need to many advanced function, then leasing may actually be less money.
